What is Dry Type Cast Resin Transformer

Dry type cast resin transformers use epoxy resin as the insulating material. The high and low voltage windings are made of copper tape (foil) and are cast and cured in epoxy resin under vacuum conditions, forming a high-strength fiberglass structure. The insulation classes available include F and H.

Dry type cast resin transformers offer excellent electrical performance, strong lightning impulse resistance, robust short-circuit resistance, compact size, and lightweight design. They can be equipped with a temperature display controller to monitor and control the operating temperature of the windings, ensuring the transformer’s normal lifespan.
