1. The pressure relief valve mainly releases pressure when the internal pressure of the transformer is too high to prevent the transformer from exploding.
Principle: The pressure relief valve is a safety valve. When the internal pressure of the transformer exceeds the set value, the valve automatically opens to release excessive pressure and discharge gas or oil vapor, thereby preventing the pressure from continuing to rise and ensuring the safety of the transformer and the surrounding environment.
Use: Generally installed on the top or side of the transformer tank, regular inspection and maintenance are required to ensure its sensitivity and reliability.
2. The gas relay monitors the gas in the transformer oil and detects faults.
Principle: The gas relay is installed on the pipeline between the transformer tank and the cooling device, and contains a float and electrical contacts. When a fault occurs inside the transformer (such as a short circuit or overload), gas is generated, and the gas gathers on the top of the tank, pushing the float down, triggering the electrical contacts, sending an alarm signal or cutting off the power supply to prevent the fault from expanding.
Application: Applicable to oil-immersed transformers, which require regular inspection and maintenance to ensure their accuracy and reliability.
3. The temperature monitor monitors the transformer temperature in real time to prevent overheating.
Principle: The temperature monitor usually consists of a temperature sensor and a display, which is installed on the transformer winding and the surface of the oil tank. The sensor measures the actual temperature of the transformer and transmits the data to the display or control system. When the temperature exceeds the preset safety threshold, the system sends an alarm signal or automatically takes cooling measures, such as starting a cooling fan or oil pump, to prevent the transformer from overheating and damage.
Application: Widely used in various types of transformers, regularly calibrated and maintained to ensure its accuracy and response speed.
